Where To Begin? Pt. 1
Shalom brothers and sisters. 🕊🌈 Here I will compile some things for you, in a multiple part guide, to begin with the basics. Walking with our Abba is supposed to be a delight. But shoving yourself into too much truth too quickly can make you overwhelmed and not sure where to begin. So my goal here is to hopefully simplify all that for you.
Guide #1: Repentance
When we begin our walk of faith there are some key components we must establish. Specifically 4 key components. I will list these 4 components and then I will establish them in separate posts so the information stays organized and relevant. First and foremost we must establish our repentance. After that we can move on to understanding the true definition of Faith and how that plays a huge rule in our servanthood. After this we must understand the Sabbath and the recognition of the covenant found in it. And last we must come to understand the full meaning of the Torah.
In this post I will discuss repentance. We must repent to the Most High, Yahuah all of our sins. Even the smallest of sins like acting out of anger or gossiping about someone even if it isn't with bad intentions. When we repent we must be truly grieved of our sins. We must humble ourselves before Yahuah and be genuinely sorry. Remember he knows your heart. He knows if you're truly sorry or not. He knows if you meant it. Let's look at what the Bible says on repentance.
(2 Corinthians 7:9) "Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye sorrowed in righteous sorrow, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing."
Paul rejoiced, not because his testimony made them sorry but, that they sorrowed over what they had done and led them to repentance. It was a righteous sorrow. It grieved their souls that they had been so disobedient.
(2 Corinthians 7:10) "For sorrow on account of Elohiym works repentance to yeshu`ah not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world works death."
Being sorrowful on account of your repentance to Yahuah is what leads to your yeshu`ah, your salvation. But feeling sorrowful over the world and the Worldly Traditions you must let go of works death.
(Acts 22:16) "And now why do you tarry? arise, and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of Yahuah."
Why do you wait to repent? What are you waiting for? Get up, repent, and allow Messiah Yahusha to baptize you in his spirit. Call on his name. He will hear you.
(Hebrews 10:26) "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the Truth, there remains no more sacrifice for sins."
If you come into the truth and you don't repent, and turn your ways. And you continue to keep living a worldly life. And keeping worldly, Pagan, traditions like Easter and Christmas. There remains no sacrifice for you. Yahusha's blood was not spilled for you and it will not cover you and protect you in the day of Yahuah's wrath.
