Expounding The Commandments Pt. 1

Guide #1: The Sealing Of The Shabbat

Shalom brothers and sisters! I am hoping you landed here because you completed my other two guides and are ready for more! If you're ready to take your studies and your walk a step further, look no more. We're beginning with the Shabbat. If you aren't sure where to begin on your Torah walk, start here with the Shabbat. Let's begin. 馃寛

The Shabbat, or Sabbath, as some call it. The Shabbat is one of the most important commandments we keep brothers and sisters. Yet is it the most forgotten, most broken, and most changed commandment we come across. Many have changed the commandment making it to no effect. First it was changed to Sunday, which we'll get into later in this message. And now people AND church leaders say you can keep whatever day you want as the Sabbath day. So many people gaurd the wrong Sabbath day. Or they don't garud it at all. It is the most broken commandment and one that is broken out of sheer ignorance. Most people are aware they're breaking commandments you know, like getting drunk, or fornication, or lying, whatever it may be people are aware that is a no, no. Almost all people have absolutely no knowledge about the Shabbat. They are ignorant to it. They have no idea that the true Shabbat up until the Roman empire was Saturday. They have no idea that the Roman empire changed it to Sunday. And they can't tell you a single thing the scriptures say about it. They also can't prove with scripture that the Shabbat was originally Sunday. Because it wasn't and there isn't any scripture to support that theory. And sadly even when you do try to turn most of them on to Truth they reject it. They despise it and they won't search matters out for themselves. (Proverbs 25:2 "It is the glory of Elohiym to conceal a matter; but it is the honor of Kings to search a matter out.")

So to get a full picture here we must go all the way back to the beginning like with most things here. We must start at the beginning and work our way through the scriptures. Because the scriptures don't contradict themselves they all tell the same story. So we're going to begin in the book of Genesis. And because I believe the Apocrypha to be Yah breathed scriptures I am also going to be bringing in what the book of Jubilees says about the Shabbat as well. So let's start with (Genesis 2:2-3 "And on the seventh day Elohiym ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And Elohiym blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which Elohiym created and made.") It took Yahuah 7 days to create the heavens and the earth and all that is therein. And on the 7th day Yahuah rested from his work and he blessed this day because it is the day he rested after he created everything. Now let's read (Jubilees 2:1,17-32 "And the angel of the presence spoke to Mosheh according to the Word of Yahuah, saying: Write the complete history of the creation, how in six days Yahuah Elohiym finished all his works and all that he created, and kept the Shabbath on the seventh day and sanctified it for all ages, and appointed as a sign for all his works. And he finished all his work on the sixth day all that is in the heavens and on the earth, and in the seas and in the abysses, and in the light and in the darkness, and in everything. And he gave us a great sign, the Shabbath, that we should work six days, but gaurd the Shabbath on the seventh day from all work. And all the angels of the presence, and all the angels of sanctification, these two great classes he has bidden us to gaurd the Shabbath with him in heaven and on earth. And he said unto us: Behold, I will seperate unto myself a people from among all the peoples, and these shall gaurd the Shabbath, and I will sanctify them unto myself as my people and will bless them; as I have sanctified the Shabbath and do sanctify it unto myself, even so will I bless them, and they shall be my people and I will be their Elohiym. And I have chosen the seed of Ya`qov from amongst all that I have seen, and have written him down as my firstborn son, and have sanctified him unto myself forever and ever; and I will teach them the Shabbath, that they may gaurd the Shabbath thereon from all work. And thus he created therein a sign in accordance with which they should gaurd the Shabbath with us on the seventh day, to eat and to drink, and to bless him who has created all things as he has blessed and sanctified unto himself a peculiar people above all peoples, and that they should gaurd the Shabbath together with us. And he caused his commands to ascend as a sweet savor acceptable before him all the days. Therefore were two and twenty heads of mankind from A'dam to Ya`qov, and two and twenty kinds of work were make until the seventh day; this is blessed and holy; and the former is also blessed and holy; and this one serves with that one for sanctification and blessing. And to this Ya`qov and his seed it was granted that they should always be blessed and qodeshiym of the first testimony and Torah, even as he had sanctified and blessed the Shabbath on the seventh day. He created heaven and earth and everything that he created in sixth days, and Elohiym made the seventh day holy, for all his works; therefore he commanded on its behalf, that whosoever does any work thereon shall die, and that he who defiles it shall surely die. Wherefore do you command the children on Yashar'el to observe this day that they may keep it holy and not do thereon any work, and not to defile it, as it is holier than all other days. And whosoever profanes it shall surely die, and whosoever does thereon any work shall surely die eternally, that the children of Yashar'el may observe this day throughout their generations, and not be rooted out of the land; for it is a holy day and a blessed day. And everyone who observes it and gaurds the Shabbath thereon from all work, will be holy and blessed throughout all days like unto us. Declare and say unto the children of Yashar'el the Torah of this day both that they should gaurd the Shabbath thereon, and that they should not forsake it in the error of their hearts; and that it is against the Torah to do any work thereon which is unseemly, to do thereon their own pleasure, and that they should not prepare thereon anything to be eaten or drunk, and thar it is against the Torah to draw water, or bring in or take out thereon through their gates any burden, which they had not prepared for themselves on the sixth day in their dwellings. And they shall not bring in nor take out from house to house on that day; for that day is more holy and blessed that any jubilee day of the jubilees; on this we kept Shabbath in the heavens before it was made known to any flesh to gaurd the Shabbath thereon on the earth. And the Creator of all things blessed it, but he did not sanctify all peoples and nations to gaurd the Shabbath thereon, but Yashar'el alone: them alone he permitted to eat and drink and gaurd the Shabbath thereon on the earth. And the Creator of all things blessed this day which he had created for blessing and holiness and glory above all days. This Torah and testimony were given to the children of Yashar'el as a Torah forever unto their generations.") You see the Shabbat was ordained in heaven with the angels before it was given to man. The Sabbath has been a commandment the since creation account. And it is holier than any day of the week. And you saw that we read that he set it up as a sign between himself and his people. And we're gonna dive even deeper into that in just a few. We are not supposed to do any kind of work on this day. No labor or pleasure. So this isn't the day you go out and cut your grass. This isn't the day that you repair your house or go to your actual job. Now I understand there are some of us who unfortunately do have to work on this day even though they don't want to. I understand that employers don't recognize the Shabat. So to you my brothers and sisters all I can say is pray to the Most High. He is the only one who can change that for you. Pray to him and he will lead you. This is also not the day to go out and serve yourself. This isn't the day you go get your hair done or your nails done or go do anything that involves spending money. We are not to buy or sell on the Shabbat because shops and stores are supposed to be closed on this day. Back in those days the shops and markets were closed on the Shabbat. If you didn't get what you needed Friday you weren't getting it until Monday. Now I understand everyone observed the Shabbat in different ways in regards to how the day is observed. But I want to say we mustn't get carried away with traditions on this day. Traditions that bad teachers started and have led the children of Israel to err. Like for example the Jews are extreme about observing the Shabbat. And by that I mean they are so hard-core they won't even turn on a light during the Shabbat because it says to not kindle a flame. (Exodus 35:2-3 "Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you a holy day, a Shabbath of rest to Yahuah: whosoever does work therein shall be put to death. Ye shall bring no kindle for a fire throughout your habitations upon the Shabbath.") Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations on the Shabbat. But was this talking about cooking? No. This was talking about work. Those who are using fire for working purposes. The blacksmiths who forged weapons. The Jewelry makes who melted gold and silver. Or even one that isn't talked about but, I'm sure was a thing, the outhouse needs to be cleaned out. Yahuah knows that eating is a basic human need. He created us that way. He very obviously knows that we need light to see in the dark. You were to go out in the field and gather enough food for Friday and Saturday. Because on Saturday you weren't going into the field to get food. That is work. Like now. We don't go to the grocery store on the Shabbat. We get what we need Friday. Which is the prep day. We prep for the Shabbat. Yahuah also knew there wasn't much of a way to preserve their food back then. They didn't have refrigerators or freezers. If they cooked something it must get eaten. So you couldn't cook everything you had Friday and it still be good on Saturday. This my brothers and sisters, this extremism is what happens when we depart to the right or the left of the Torah. Which we are commanded not to do. But this is exactly what the Pharisee's did. This is what Rabbinic Judaism did. Christianity came along and did the exact opposite.

Now let's get into the other accounts of the Sabbath being mentioned in the scriptures. First let's start in the book of Exodus when Moses is upon Mt. Ciynai receiving the 10 commandments. (Exodus 20:8-11 "Remember the day of the Shabbath, to keep it holy. Six days shall you labor, and do all your work: But the seventh day is the Shabbath of Yahuah Elohayka: in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates: For in six days Yahuah made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore Yahuah blessed the day of Shabbath, and hallowed it.") If we go back a few chapters though we see that the children of Yashar'el are already keeping the Shabbat. Because they already knew about the Shabbat. Moses receiving the commandments on Sapphire tablets at Mt. Ciynai wasn't the first time the children heard the commandments. It was a foreshadow. It was a physical representation of Yahuah's Word, his Torah. To make the Word nigh unto them. It was a foreshadow of the Messiah, to come. Yahusha is the physical manifestation of the Torah, he is the Word made flesh. Who also made the Word nigh unto people. It is not some far off thing. Its something Yahuah writes upon our hearts when he circumcises them. The 10 commandments are given in (Exodus 20) but, if we go back a few chapters we see the children already keeping the Shabbat. (Exodus 16:4-34 "Then said Yahuah unto Mosheh, Behold, I will rain bread from the heavens for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my Torah, or no. And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare 讗转 that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily. And Mosheh and Aharon said unto all the children of Yashar'el, At evening, then ye shall know that Yahuah has brought you out from the land of Mitsrayim: And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of Yahuah; for that he hears your murmurings against Yahuah: and what are we, that ye murmur against us? And Mosheh said, This shall be, when Yahuah shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that Yahuah hears your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against Yahuah. And Mosheh spoke unto El-Aharon, Say unto all the assembly of the children of Yashar'el, Come near before Yahuah: for he has heard 讗转 your murmurings. And it came to pass, as Aharon spoke unto the whole assembly of the children of Yashar'el, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of Yahuah appeared in the cloud. And Yahuah spoke unto Mosheh, saying, I have heard the murmurings of the children of Yashar'el: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am Yahuah Elohaykem. And it came to pass, that at evening the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host. And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground. And when the children of Yashar'el saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they knew not what it was. And Mosheh said unto them, This is the bread which Yahuah has given you to eat. This is the thing which Yahuah has commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents. And the children of Yashar'el did so, and gathered, some more, some less. And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating. And Mosheh said, Let no man leave of it till the morning. Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Mosheh; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Mosheh was wroth with them. And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted. And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the assembly came and told Mosheh. And he said unto them, This is that which Yahuah has said, Tomorrow is the rest of the Holy holy Shabbath unto Yahuah: 讗转 bake that which ye will bake today, and 讗转 seethe that ye will seethe; and 讗转 that which remains over lay up for you to be kept until the morning. And they laid it up till the morning, as Mosheh bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein. And Mosheh said, Eat that today; for today is a Shabbath unto Yahuah: today ye shall not find it in the field. Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the Shabbath, in it there shall be none. And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none. And Yahuah said unto Mosheh, How long refuse ye to guard my commandments and my Torah? See, for that Yahuah has given you the Shabbath, therefore he gives you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day. So the people rested on the seventh day. And the house of Yashar'el called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey. And Mosheh said, This is the thing which Yahuah commands, Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Mitsrayim. And Mosheh said unto El-Aharon, Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before Yahuah, to be kept for your generations. As Yahuah commanded Mosheh, so Aharon laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.") At this point the children of Yashar'el hadn't been wandering the wilderness for too long. And they were hungry. And they were murmuring against Yahuah to Moses and Aahron. "Why did you bring us out here?" "Pharoh was going to kill us and now you've led us out here to starve to death." And in their hearts they wished for Yahuah to make it rain meat. They were tired of eating Matsah cakes. So Yahuah told Moses and Aahron tell the assembly I'm going to make it rain bread in the morning and they called this bread Manna and meat in the evening and they would collect a certain amount everyday and on the sixth day they were to collect double that amount. To prepare for the Shabbat. And for first 5 days they were tested to see if they would obey Yahuah or not, they were told to not keep anything overnight to the morning. But they didn't listen and it stunk the next morning and bred worms. But they were told collect double on the sixth day enough for 2 days. And save that for the second day to have to cook on the Shabbat. There was also some who didn't collect enough for 2 days on the sixth day so they came out on the Shabbat to get food and the fields were empty. As Moses told them it would be. And Yahuah says to Moses how long are they going to refuse my Torah and commandments? After this the people rested on the seventh day.

We are now moving on to the book of Leviticus. (Leviticus 23:2-3 "Speak unto the children of Yashar'el, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of Yahuah, which ye shall proclaim to be holy assemblies, even these are my feasts. Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Shabbath of rest, a holy assembly; ye shall do no work therein: it is the Shabbath of Yahuah in all your dwellings.") This chapter here is speaking about Yahuah's feasts. And you see how he says these are my feasts. They belong to him and him alone. At this point in time all 12 tribes were still together. It's like I said last week a lot of people forget the house of Yashar'el is made up of 12 tribes and the Jews, the house of Judah is just one of the them. And the Torah is for anyone. Native born or stranger. Let's look actually read about that before we move forward. (Exodus 12:49 "One Torah shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourns among you.") & (Leviticus 24:22 "Ye shall have one manner of law, as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I am Yahuah Elohaykem.") & (Numbers 15:29 "Ye shall have one Torah for him that sins through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Yashar'el, and for the stranger that sojourns among them.") One Torah, one manner of law for the native born and the stranger who sojourns among you. Let's look at (Leviticus 26:2 "Ye shall guard my Shabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am Yahuah.") We are supposed to gaurd the Shabbats. All of them. But we'll get into the Shabbat's of the feast days another time. Today we are specifically addressing the 7th day Shabbat. Let's see what the book of Deuteronomy says as well. (Deuteronomy 5:12-14 "Guard the day of the Shabbath; to sanctify it as Yahuah Elohayka has commanded you. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work: But the seventh day is the Shabbath of Yahuah Elohayka: in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your ox, nor your ass, nor any of your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates; that your manservant and your maidservant may rest as well as you.") We are supposed to keep this day holy and Set-Apart. We are supposed to use this day to take time and spend it with our Creator. To be students of the Word and study. To Fellowship with one another. This day is Set-Apart to deepen our relationship with Yahuah. This day is meant to be spent studying the Word and praying to the Most High. Or Fellowshipping with brothers and sisters and praying to Yahuah together. It is a day of rest. The day Yahuah rested after he created the heavens and earth and everything therein.

The book of Isaiah as well touches on this subject. I thought that was interesting. Even though we're taking a break this week from our Isaiah Series, the Most High found a way to still incorporate Isaiah in this week. This is stuff we'll be going over more extensively in the coming weeks. The book of Isaiah is so important guys. I really hope my Messiah From Isaiah Series is really showing you guys that. (Isaiah 56:1-2 "THUS says Yahuah, Guard ye judgment, and do justice: for my yeshu`ah is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. Blessed is the man that does this, and the son of A'dam that lays hold on it; that guards the Shabbath from polluting it, and guards his hand from doing any evil.") Remember where we are in the book of Isaiah. Isaiah is prophesying of the Messiah and prophesying of the comfort that Yahuah will bring to Yashar'el when the New Jerusalem arrives. When our yeshu`ah, our salvation arrives. Gaurd your judgment and do justice. Do the Torah, because his Torah, his righteousness is going to be revealed soon. Blessed is the man who does this. And the son who lays hold on it, who gaurds it. Thar gaurd the Shabbat from polluting it and doing any evil. Blessed is the man who keeps the Shabbat holy and Set-Apart. I also want to say we are allowed to go out and do good works on the Shabbat as our Messiah demonstrated for us. We are allowed to help people and perform acts of kindness. (Isaiah 56:6 "Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to Yahuah, to serve him, and to love the name of Yahuah, to be his servants, everyone that guards the Shabbath from polluting it, and takes hold of my covenant.") Here we see it again. The sons of the stranger who join themselves to Yahuah. Who follow his ways. To serve him and to love him. The first commandment. To love Yahuah with all your heart, mind, and soul. Everyone who gaurds the Shabbat and doesn't pollute it, doesn't perform any labor, and keeps the day Set-Apart takes hold of Yahuah's covenant. Now let's read (Isaiah 58:13-14 "If you turn away your foot from the Shabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day; and call the Shabbath a delight, the holy of Yahuah, honorable; and shall honor him, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words: Then shall you delight yourself in Yahuah; and I will cause you to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed you with the heritage of Ya`aqov your father: for the mouth of Yahuah has spoken it.") Turn away your foot from doing your pleasure on his holy day and gaurd the Shabbat. The Shabbat is a delightful day. A day to rest and recharge for the week. Delight in Yahuah and turn from your own ways and follow his. So you can be fed with the heritage of Jacob. This day is for him. You have 6 other days that are for you and everything else in your life. The 7th day is his. Really quick let's look at the line before all of this. Line 12. (Isaiah 58:12 "And they that shall be of you shall build the old waste places: you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.") Us and our children brothers and sisters. This is speaking about us. We are the ones who will build-up the desolate places. And shall raise up the foundations of many generations. We are the repairers of the breech, the restorers of the paths to dwell in. We are setting the paths back straight. We've come to learn that we've been fed a lot of really bad doctrine over the years. We've been fed a bunch of lies. A bunch of half truths. And now trying to unlearn it all is hard sometimes. And can be a bit overwhelming when you're just starting out. Ultimately pray on these things. Ask Yahuah to guide you and show you the Truth. Ask him to reveal himself to you. He will. It's not going to be a burning bush like Moses but, you will definitely know when it was him. We are coming back to the light and back to the Truth now. We ate diligently studying the scriptures. We are diligently testing and studying the Apocrypha books. We are awakening and restoring the paths, and repairing the breech that has been created by our elders who led us all to err. They have kept us ignorant to the Truth.

Now we're going to go over some things from Ezekiel, Jeremiah, and Nehemiah. We're gonna go a little backwards here and begin in the book of Ezekiel. (Ezekiel 20:19-20 "I am Yahuah Elohaykem; walk in my statutes, and guard my judgments, and do them; And hallow my Shabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am Yahuah Elohaykem.") He says to walk in his statutes. That we are to not only gaurd his judgements but, we are to do them. We are to hear and do. Be doers of the Word not hearers only. Gaurd the Shabbat and hallow this day. Set it Apart to be holy and know that it is a sign between you and our Creator. Now let's take a look at (Jeremiah 17:22-27 "Neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the Shabbath, neither do ye any work, but hallow ye the day of Shabbath, as I commanded your fathers. But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, nor receive instruction. And it shall come to pass, if ye diligently hearken unto me, says Yahuah, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the Shabbath, but hallow the day of Shabbath, to do no work therein; Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Yahudah, and the inhabitants of Yerushalayim: and this city shall remain forever. And they shall come from the cities of Yahudah, and from the places about Yerushalayim, and from the land of Binyamiyn, and from the plain, and from the mountains, and from the Negev, bringing ascending smoke offerings, and sacrifices, and oblations, and incense, and bringing sacrifices of praise, unto the house of Yahuah. But if ye will not hearken unto me to hallow the day of Shabbath, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Yerushalayim on the Shabbath; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Yerushalayim, and it shall not be quenched.") We are not to carry burdens on the Shabbat. As we read earlier on Exodus and Jubilees. A burden would be like going to the grocery store. You didn't prepare enough food on Friday and need to go to the grocery store Saturday. That is commanded against. You have six days to prepare for this one day so there really is no excuse. We are to Set this day Apart as our fathers were commanded but, they didn't listen. They followed after their own imaginations. They would not receive correction or instruction. If we do these things are Father's wouldn't do we'll be granted into the city where the throne of David is. The New Jerusalem. The city that will endure forever. But those who won't incline their ears they'll be the ones met with the flames of fury and indignation. Okay now let's take a look at the book of Nehemiah. (Nehemiah 9:13-14 "You came down also upon Mount Ciynai, and spoke with them from heaven, and gave them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments: And made known unto them your Holy Shabbath, and commanded them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Mosheh your servant.") This is speaking about when Moses delivered the Hebrew children out of Egypt and received the commandedments on tablets at Mt. Ciynai. The renewal of the covenant. Yahuah spoke with Moses from heaven at Mt. Ciynai. He gave Moses counsel and instruction for 40 days and nights while he was up there. Moses basically got a Torah crash course while he was up on Mt. Ciynai to come back down and instruct the people. Yahuah taught Moses right judgment, and true laws, and good statutes and commandments. And made known to them the Shabbat and how important the Shabbat is. And at the hand of Moses he made all his laws, and statutes, and ordinances, known to the children or Israel. To reinstruct them in the way that they should go. But they wouldn't listen, the wouldn't obey. Let's also look at (Nehemiah 10:31 "And if the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the Shabbath to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the Shabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt.") He we can see it specifically talking about buying and selling on the Shabbat. We are not to buy or sell on the Shabbat. Selling is labor, it is work. And likewise you can't buy becuase no on is supposed to be working. You buy what you need Friday before the evening to prepare for the Shabbat. And the end of this verse is also talking about releasing servants. Which is found in the Torah in the book of Exodus and Leviticus. If you hired a servant to work in your house or you were sold/given a servant he or she was yours for 6 years. At the end of 6 years, beginning the 7th year, you were to release your servant to go back to their homeland. But anything that they had while they served belongs to their Adonai. If they have a wife who is a servant she must stay unless her 7 years are up along with any children. But that servant is also allowed to stay if they'd like to. And that is what the end of this verse is talking about.

Now before we really get into the pure milk of this subject, I also want to show some accounts where the New Testament as well speaks about the Shabbat. Then we'll really dive into what the heart of this message is. Let's start in the Gospels with the book of Matthew. (Matthew 12:10-12 "And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it Lawful to heal on the Shabbaths? that they might accuse him. And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the Shabbath, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out? How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is Lawful to do well on the Shabbaths.") So in this particular instance Yahusha and his Disciples were out around the fields and they were hungry so they picked a piece of grain to eat on it. And it happened that some if the Pharisee's saw this. And the Pharisee's were looking for any way they could to condemn Yahusha and find him guilty for anything they could. They refused to believe he was the Messiah. So anyways the Pharisee's saw this and tried to accuse him for not preparing for the Shabbat. To which Yahusha replied if your sheep fell into a pit on the Shabbat would you leave them there until Sunday because it's the Shabbat? Or would you rescue your sheep who are in distress? Yahusha and his Disciples did t transgress the commandment. Because they weren't out there gathering for the day. They weren't unprepared. They were just walking past and wanted a snack so they plucked a piece of grain to take with them and snack on. We can compare this to, say your walking down the street and see a grape vine. If you plucked just a few grapes to eat really quick right there is that gathering food to eat for the day or is that just having a little snack? They, the Pharisee's are the ones who transgressed the commandment and made Yahuah's laws to no effect. By all the extra rules they set forth and held to a higher standard than the instruction set forth by our Father in heaven. Like I said earlier the Jews today are so hard-core about their extra rules and stipulations they don't even turn on a light switch on the Shabbat. Then after this Yahusha went on to heal the man who tried to accuse him. He had one hand that was messed up. Yahusha asked him to raise his hand and when he did his hand was healed. Okay now let's read (Matthew 11:28-30 "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.") I really wanna talk about this before we move forward. Yahusha says come unto me all of you who labor and bear heavy burdens. And he will give us rest. Take his yoke, his Torah. And learn of him. Learn the Word. Yahusha is the Word. Learn of him. And we'll find rest for our souls. His yoke is easy, the commandments are easy. And his burden is not heavy because it isn't a burden at all. 1 John 5:3 "For this is the love of Elohiym, that we guard his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.") The commandments are rest for the soul. Reading and studying the Word is a delight. It truly is. You soul feels peace, and comfort, and restful. So like I always say guys, get your Bibles out and read them! Start in Genesis and work your way through. We must be reading the word and we MUST brothers and sisters be students of the Word. We must dissect the Word and diligently seek the Truth. Please don't just take my Word for it. Break out your Bible and earnestly seek the Truth for yourself. Pray on it over and over again. I am no one you guys. I am merely just a messenger. I don't speak my words or my truth. I speak the Most High's words and his Truth. These are his words not my own. All credit and all praise goes to Yahuah. He has revealed these things to me and put it on my spirit to spread the message. Okay moving forward to the Gospel of Mark. (Mark 2:23-28 "And it came to pass, that he went through the fields on the Shabbath; and his Talmidiym began, as they went, to pluck the heads of grain. And the Parashiym said unto him, Behold, why do they on the Shabbath 讗转 that which is not Lawful? And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was hungry, he, and they that were with him? How he went into the house of Elohiym in the days of Avyathar the high priest, and did eat the showbread, which is not Lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him? And he said unto them, The Shabbath was made for man, and not man for the Shabbath: Therefore the Son of A'dam is Adonai also of the Shabbaths.") Here we see the same account that we read in Matthew. Yahusha and his Disciples were out in the field and they plucked some grain to eat. And the Pharisee's saw this and accused him of doing that which is Unlawful on the Shabbat. And in both instances Yahusha refers to an instance with David. Before he became king. At this time he was still serving under Saul. And Saul was seeking to kill David. Saul had a demon that would overcome him and David was the only one who could subdue him when this would happen. But the more the demon overcame Saul the more David's subduing began to not work. And eventually Saul turns against David and seeks to kill him. But Saul's son Johnathan loved David and vowed to protect him. And he did. They were best friends. So David fled from Saul's kingdom with the help of Jonathan. The next city David makes it to he runs into a priest who knew him and the priest was afraid and says why are you alone? And David tells him he was on urgent business for the King and asks if he can have some bread. The priests tells him I don't have any common bread this bread I have is hallowed. Meaning it's been blessed by Yahuah. David also says he has men close by. And the priest says well are you clean from women? And David says yes the men and I are holy and not defiled with women. So the priest gives him the bread. David was hungry and a faithful servant of Yahuah. He had fled Saul's kingdom for his life and Yahuah provided for him. David didn't break any commandment. The Shabbat was made for man not man for the Shabbat. The Shabbat was created for US, to rest and spend time with our Creator. We weren't created to create our own day of rest or to create all these extra rules. Now let's read (Mark 15:40-42 "There were also women looking on afar off: among whom was Miryam of Migdal, and Miryam the mother of Ya`aqov the less and of Yoceph, and Shalom; (Who also, when he was in Galiyl, followed him, and ministered unto him;) and many other women which came up with him unto Yerushalayim. And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the Shabbath.") After Yahusha finally died on the cross it was the evening before the Shabbat. He was crucified, and put up on the stake during the Passover. Which was from Tuesday evening to Wednesday evening. The day after Passover is a high Sabbath day. Wednesday morning he was put on the stake and Wednesday evening is when he died. Thursday the second day of Passover is a Sabbath day. Friday day, was the prep day for the weekly Sabbath. So Yahusha was crucified in between 2 Sabbath days. Friday evening begins the Sabbath because on the Hebrew calendar evening begins the next day. Sabbath days are observed from evening to evening. So as we read above now the evening comes and it's now preparation day for the Shabbat. And this was of significance because now they can also remove Yahusha from the cross. They couldn't remove him until sundown because it was a Sabbath day. They couldn't perform any work. So once the Sabbath is over they remove him from his stake. Now let's read (Luke 13:10-17 "And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Shabbath. And, behold, there was a woman which had a ruach of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Yahusha saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified Elohiym. And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Yahusha had healed on the Shabbath, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the Shabbath. Adonai then answered him, and said, You hypocrite, do not each one of you on the Shabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering? And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Avraham, whom Satan has bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Shabbath? And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.") Yahusha was teaching in the synagogue one Shabbat and there was a woman there who was a hunch back she was and all shriveled up. She had been like that for 18 years. She had evil spirits troubling her. And Yahusha laid hands on her and freed her of that bondage. And the elder in the synagogue said that there is 6 days to work and be healed don't come to be healed on the Sabbath. To which Yahusha called him a hypocrite and says do you not loose your ox and asses and lead them to their water in the Shabbat? There's no better day TO be healed! This woman, a daughter of Abraham, had been vexed for 18 years by Satan, should her bonds not be loosened on the Shabbat? They day we honor the covenant and strengthen our relationship with Yahuah. Moving on to (Romans 14:1-5 "HIM that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations. For one believes that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eats herbs. Let not him that eats despise him that eats not; and let not him which eats not judge him that eats: for Elohiym has received him. Who are you that judge another man's servant? to his own adoniy he stands or falls. Yea, he shall be held up: for Elohiym is able to make him stand. One man esteems one day above another: another esteems every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.") The chapter just before this Paul was telling the Romans how to fulfill the Torah and the importance of the Torah and not following after the lusts of the flesh. So to him who is weak in faith you will be received. One who is unlearned in Torah, Yahuah will instruct you. Is what's being said here. But not to doubtful disputations. It's okay to ask questions brothers and sisters. We should ask questions about the scriptures. Because asking questions means we're diligently seeking answers. But we shouldn't cause disputes or cast doubt into people's mind. Especially those who are new and trying to unlearn all the bad doctrine we've been force fed. He who is unlearned in Torah believes he can eat all things, while another only eats vegetables and fruit. Don't despise these people or judge them. We'll never get people to follow us if we judge them and condemn them. We must rather receive these people with love. Even if they're unkind to us. It says every man will be fully persuaded in his own mind. Let's look at the end of this chapter to get a better context. (Romans 14:It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor anything whereby your brother stumbles, or is offended, or is made weak. Have you faith? have it to yourself before Elohiym. Happy is he that condemns not himself in that thing which he allows. And he that doubts is damned if he eat, because he eats not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.") It's not good to either eat flesh or drink wine. This is like flesh that has been torn. A road kill kind of situation if you will. And we know we're not to get drunken. Or any other thing that may cause your brother to stumble, be offended, or made weak. Like offering him something the Torah commands against like pork. Or meat that has been sacrificed to idols. Have you no faith? And remember faith is an action. Emunah. To hear and do. Are you not doers of the Word? Or hearers only? Those who live by the Torah are happy. We don't condemn ourselves for eating what is clean. We eat of faith. By what Abba, Yahuah has instructed us is clean. He that is doubtful, he that is lukewarm, is damned when he eats because he doesn't eat of faith. He doesn't follow the Torah. He is lukewarm and doubful. And whatsoever isn't of faith, which is hearing and doing the Word, is of sin. Anything that is to the right or the left of the Torah, Yahuah's instructions for us, is sin. Sin is the transgression of the Torah. (1 John 3:4) Now, let's look at the book of Hebrews and we're gonna get to the meat of this subject. (Hebrews 4:9-11 "There remains therefore a Shabbath for the people of Elohiym. For he that is entered into his rest, he also has ceased from his own works, as Elohiym did from his. Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.") Here Paul was telling the people the salvation and rest that is coming in the New Jerusalem. Yahuah's rest and comfort for his people. The good news was preached unto their fathers through the prophets, mostly through Isaiah and they didn't listen. Remember we talked about this a couple weeks ago in Part 5 or 6 of the Isaiah Series. He spoke of preaching the Besorah, the Gospel, the Good News of salvation, yeshu`ah. Just as Yahuah rested on the seventh day, after creation we also rest on the 7th day. It's a shadow of things to come. It's a foreshadow of our new life in Zion, New Jerusalem. It's practice for what we're going to be doing there. Everything we do now is practice for what is to come. It's a foreshadow of events. We must heed the message unless we want to fall after the example of the unbelievers.

Now, we're going to be getting into the meat of this subject, the pure milk. First we're going to address how and why this happened. How the Shabbat was changed and why it happened. We're going to discuss both the scriptural and historical accounts on this matter. Before we get into the historical side of this let's see what the scriptures say first. We're going to begin in the book of Jubilees first. Jubilees is one of the books that has been removed and added to the Apocrypha. But I consider it Truth seeing as it's an exact recount of the book of Genesis. Anyways. Let's begin in Jubilees. (Jubilees 1:6,10-13,15-19,23-28 "And he said: Incline your heart to every word which I shall speak to you in this Mount and write them in a cepher in order that their generations may see how I have not forsaken them for all the evil which they have wrought in transgressing the covenant which I establish between me and you for their generations this day on Mount Ciynai. For they will forget all my commandments, even all that I command them, and they will walk after their uncleanness, and after their shame, and will serve their elohyim and these will prove unto them an offence and a tribulation and an affliction and a snare. And many will perish and they will be taken captive, and will fall into the hands of the enemy, because they have forsaken my ordinances and my commandments, and the feasts of my covenant, and my Shabbaths, and my holy place which I have sanctified for myself in their midst, and my Tabernacle, and my sanctuary, which I have sanctified for myself in the midst of the land, that I should set my name upon it, and that it should dwell there. And they will make to themselves high places and Asherah poles and graven images, and they will worship, each his own graven image, so as to go astray, and they will sacrifice their children to devils, and to all the works of error of their hearts. And I will send witnesses unto them, that I may witness against them, but they will not hear, and I will slay the witnesses also, and they will abrogate and change everything so as to work evil before my eyes. And they will forget all my Torah and all my commandments and all my judgements, and will go astray as to New Moons, and the Shabbaths, and feasts, and jubilees, and ordinances. And after this they will turn to me from amongst the other nations with all their heart and with all their sound and with all their strength, and I will gather them from amongst all the other nations, and they will seek me, so that I shall be found of them, when they seek me with all their heart and all their soul. And I will disclose to them abounding peace with righteousness, and I will remove them the plant of uprightness, with all my heart and with all my soul, and they shall be for a blessing and not for a curse and they shall be the head and not the tail. And I will build my sanctuary in their midst, and I will tabernacle with them, and I will be their Elohiym, and they shall be my people in truth and righteousness. And I will not forsake them nor fail them; for I am Yahuah Elohayhem. And Yahuah said unto Mosheh: I know their contrariness and their thoughts and their stiff neckedness, and they will not be obident till they confess their own sin and the sin of their fathers. And after this they will turn to me in all uprightness and with all their heart and with all their soul, and I will circumcise the foreskin of their heart and the foreskin of the heart of their seed, and I will create in them a ruach ha'qodesh, and I will cleanse them so that they shall not turn away from me from that day unto eternity. And their souls will cleave to me and to all my commandments, and they will fulfill my commandments, and I will be their Father and they shall be my children. And they all shall be called children of the living Elohiym, and every angel and every ruach shall know, yea, they shall know that these are my children, and that I am their Father in uprightness and righteousness, and that I love them. And do you write down for yourself all these words which I declare unto you on this mountain, the first and the last, which shall come to pass in all the divisions of the days in the Torah and in the testimony and in the weeks and the jubilees unto eternity, until I descend and tabernacle with them throughout eternity. And he said to the angel of the presence: Write for Mosheh from the beginning of creation till my sanctuary has been built among them for all eternity. And Yahuah will appear to the eyes of all, and all shall know that I am the Elohiym of Yashar'el and the Father of all the children of Ya`qov, and King on Mount Tsiyon for all eternity. And Tsiyon and Yerushalayim shall be holy.") Really this here tells us the whole story. It tells us how and why this all happened and how the children are woken back up again. And how it happens suddenly. A lot of this stuff we've read we've also spoken of in our Isaiah Series. Much of what is said here is prophesied in the book of Isaiah. And we see it's all because of the prophecy set forth in (Deuteronomy 30) which we've talked about quite a few times in the Isaiah Series as well. Let's go deeper on this. (Proverbs 3:1-2 "MY son, forget not my Torah; but let your heart guard my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to you.") Forget not his Torah brothers and sisters. Write his commandments upon your heart. Gaurding his Torah is the key to the kingdom. The key to everlasting life. (Deuteronomy 18:9-13 "When you are come into the land which Yahuah Elohayka gives you, you shall not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shall not be found among you anyone that makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that uses divination.")
