Expounding The Commandments Pt. 9
Guide #9: Expounding The 10th Commandment
Baruk Mispacha! If you've made it here to the end that is amazing! And I thank you for sticking with me!! But, all praise be to YaHUaH Tseva'oth who has given me the knowledge and wisdom to be able to break his Commandments down. In this part of the guide we will be expounding on the 10th and final Commandment. There is much to go over here so bear with me. Let's go ahead and reestablish that and see what else the Torah says on the matter.
(Exodus 20:17) "You shall not lust after your neighbor's house, you shall not lust after your neighbor's woman, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is your neighbor's." SHEMOTH (EXODUS) 20:17 את CEPHER
(Exodus 15:9) "The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them." SHEMOTH (EXODUS) 15:9 את CEPHER
Here we went back a few Chapters, to the Song of Mosheh. This is the song Mosheh sang to YaHUaH after he parted the Red Sea and delivered the Hebrews and the multitude that came with them safely to the other side. The enemy, Pharoh wanted to use the Hebrews to satisfy his lusts. He was jealous of them. He afflicted them but, YaHUaH kept multiplying them. He wanted all these spectacular cities but, he put the work on another's back AND kept their wages for himself.
(Numbers 11:4-6) "And the mixed multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Yashar'el also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat? We remember the fish, which we did eat in Mitsrayim freely; את the cucumbers, and את the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic: But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes." BEMIDBAR (NUMBERS) 11:4-6 את CEPHER
While the children wandered the wilderness YaHUaH made the sky rain bread for them. This particular bread is called Manna. After eating Manna for so long though they grew tired of it. They began to think of all the things they ate freely in Egypt. And their souls began to lust for meat. They wanted YaHUaH to make it rain meat instead of bread.
(Deuteronomy 5:21) "Neither shall you lust after your neighbor's woman, neither shall you lust after your neighbor's house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or anything that is your neighbor's." DEVARIYM (DEUTERONOMY) 5:21 את CEPHER
(Deuteronomy 12:15) "Notwithstanding you may kill and eat flesh in all your gates, whatsoever your soul lusts after, according to the blessing of Yahuah Elohayka which he has given you: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the roebuck, and as of the deer. DEVARIYM (DEUTERONOMY) 12:15 את CEPHER
Now this here people like to misuse. Because they use it out of context. YaHUaH tells the children when they made camp in the wilderness, that they may eat flesh according to the blessing of YaHUaH. So what he says is clean to eat you may eat. The unclean and the clean may eat thereof. Now is YaHUaH saying that you may eat what he has deemed unclean? Yah forbid! He never changes his Word. He is saying that you are not to deny them from eating meat because their soul is unclean.
(Deuteronomy 12:20) "When Yahuah Elohayka shall enlarge your border, as he has promised you, and you shall say, I will eat flesh, because your soul longs to eat flesh; you may eat flesh, whatsoever your soul lusts after." DEVARIYM (DEUTERONOMY) 12:20 את CEPHER
(Deuteronomy 14:24-26) "And if the way be too long for you, so that you are not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from you, which Yahuah Elohayka shall choose to set his name there, when Yahuah Elohayka has blessed you: Then shall you turn it into money, and bind up the money in your hand, and shall go unto the place which Yahuah Elohayka shall choose: And you shall bestow that money for whatsoever your soul lusts after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever your soul desires: and you shall eat there before Yahuah Elohayka, and you shall rejoice, you, and your household." DEVARIYM (DEUTERONOMY) 14:24-26 את CEPHER
This is speaking about tithing and bringing up your first fruits year by year. And YaHUaH says bring whatever you have, sheep, oxen, food, whatever, and if its too much for you to bring, then turn it into money and bring the money for your tithe to YaHUaH. And YaHUaH shall surely fulfill your desires. Oxen, sheep, wine, strong drink, whatever. And you shall eat before YaHUaH in the place of his choosing that he will call by his name.
(Jubilees 25:1) "AND in the second year of this week in this jubilee, Rivqah called Ya`aqov her son, and spoke unto him, saying: My son, do not take you a woman of the daughters of Kena`an, as Esau, your brother, who took him two women of the daughters of Kena`an, and they have embittered my soul with all their unclean deeds: for all their deeds are fornication and lust, and there is no righteousness with them, for their deeds are evil." YOVHELIYM (JUBILEES) 25:1 את CEPHER
(Jubilees 25:6-7) "I have heard before that daughters have been born to Lavan, your brother, and I have set my heart on them to take a woman from amongst them. And for this reason I have guarded myself in my ruach against sinning or being corrupted in all my ways throughout all the days of my life; for with regard to lust and fornication, Avraham, my father, gave me many commands." YOVHELIYM (JUBILEES) 25:6-7 את CEPHER
This is Jacob reassuring his mother Rebecca that he had not taken a women in his bed as his father had commanded him. He was told to not take the daughters of Kena`an. But a woman of his fathers seed. So he was going to go see Lavan, Rebecca's brother. This is where he meets Rachel who for him it was love at first sight.
(Enoch 10:18-20) "Destroy all the souls addicted to lust, and the offspring of the Watchers, for they have tyrannized over mankind. Let every oppressor perish from the face of the earth; Let every evil work be destroyed." CHANOK (ENOCH) 10:18-20 את CEPHER
(Enoch 15:1-7) "THEN addressing me, He spoke and said, Hear, neither be afraid, O righteous Chanok, you scribe of righteousness: approach hither, and hear my voice. Go, say to the Watchers of heaven, who have sent you to pray for them, you ought to pray for men, and not men for you. Wherefore have you forsaken the lofty and holy heaven, which endures forever, and have lain with women; have defiled yourselves with the daughters of men; have taken to yourselves women; have acted like the sons of the earth, and have begotten Naphaliym. You being spiritual, holy, and possessing a life which is eternal, have polluted yourselves with women; have begotten in carnal blood; have lusted in the blood of men; and have done as those who are flesh and blood do. These however die and perish. Therefore have I given to them women, that they might cohabit with them; that sons might be born of them; and that this might be transacted upon earth. But you from the beginning were made spiritual, possessing a life which is eternal, and not subject to death forever. Therefore I made not women for you, because, being spiritual, your dwelling is in heaven." CHANOK (ENOCH) 15:1-7 את CEPHER
This is after the Fallen Watchers (angels) mated with the women on earth. The Watchers (angels) knew they transgressed the Most High and were no longer allowed into heaven. So they asked Enoch to pray on their behalf and petition for them. And YaHUaH tells Enoch you tell the angels they ought to pray for men and not men pray for you. They were spiritual and holy. Having eternal life and knowing the secrets of heaven. But they broke the Commandment and lusted after the daughters of men and begat children. The Nephaliym (giants). They mixed with flesh and blood which perish. Which is why the Most High gave woman to man and not angels. The angels being made spiritual from the beginning who's dwelling place is in heaven, and possessing a life which is eternal and not subject to death. That is why YaHUaH did not make women for them because they are spiritual and belong in heaven.
(Enoch 67:8-9) "And in those days shall these waters be to kings, to princes, to the exalted, and to the inhabitants of the earth, for the healing of the soul and body, and for the judgment of the ruach. Their ruachoth shall be full of lust, that they may be judged in their bodies; because they have denied Yahuah Tseva'oth, and they perceive their condemnation day by day, they believe not in his name." CHANOK (ENOCH) 67:8-9 את CEPHER
This is a prophecy for the end times generation. We are going to be going over all of this in the Series about Enoch I will be doing. Spirits full of lust. Those who don't acknowledge the Most High, YaHUaH Tseva'oth. All these things happen to them that condemn them in their sins, yet they still don't acknowledge his mighty name.
(Jasher 44:15-16) "At that time while he was in his adoniy's house, going in and out of the house and attending his adoniy, Zelikah, his adoniy's woman, lifted up her eyes toward Yoceph and she looked at him, and behold he was a youth comely and well favored. And she lusted after his beauty in her heart, and her soul was fixed upon Yoceph, and she enticed him day after day, and Zelikah persuaded Yoceph daily, but Yoceph did not lift up his eyes to behold his adoniy's woman." YASHAR (JASHER) 44:15-16 את CEPHER
This is talking about when Pharoh's wife lusted after Joseph. The book of Jasher tells us her lust was so deep that it make her gravely ill. She tried to seduce him day by day to no avail. Joseph would not touch her. Until she tried to force herself on him and he broke free. In her anger she screamed out to her guards and accused Joseph of trying to rape her.
(Jasher 83:27-29) "And Yahuah hearkened to their voice, and gave them meat which they ate for one month. But after this the anger of Yahuah was kindled against them, and he smote them with a great slaughter, and they were buried there in that place. And the children of Yashar'el called that place Qivrot Hat-Ta'avah, because there they buried the people that lusted flesh." YASHAR (JASHER) 83:27-29 את CEPHER
When the childrens souls listed for meat in the wilderness YaHUaH hearkened to them. And they ate meat for one month. Then he smote all of them and they were buried there in that place for allowing their souls to lust. So theh called that place "Qivrot Hat-Ta'avah" (Graves of Lust) because this is the place they buried those who lusted flesh.
We only have one passage from the prophets on lust. Mostly because the other prophets referred to it as covetousness. I just didn't search those scriptures out, as I have ample information to guide you to Truth. The one passage I have comes from the Prophet Baruk or Baruch.
(2 Baruk 83:18-19) "And all the rapine of passion of this time is turning into involuntary death. And every passion of the lusts of this time is turning into a judgment of torment. And every artifice and craftiness of this time is turning into a proof of the Truth." BARUK SHENIY (2 BARUK) 83:18-19 את CEPHER
Here Baruk is talking about the different hours and time periods YaHUaH would bring upon the earth. As things progress in the ages things get progressively worse. Murder, Suicide, Oppression, All matter of Lusts, and as these things get worse these wicked people will be afflicted more and more. In judgement of torment. All these things coming to pass in this age of time turns into proof of the Truth.
The Writings have quite a lot to say about lusting. Let's check it out.
(Psalms 78:17-18) "And they sinned yet more against him by provoking El Elyon in the wilderness. And they tempted El in their heart by asking meat for their lust." TEHILLIYM (PSALMS) 78:17-18 את CEPHER
(Psalms 78:29-31) "So they did eat, and were well filled: for he gave them their own desire; They were not estranged from their lust. But while their meat was yet in their mouths, The wrath of Elohiym came upon them, and slew the fattest of them, and smote down the chosen men of Yashar'el." TEHILLIYM (PSALMS) 78:29-31 את CEPHER
(Psalms 81:11-13) "But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Yashar'el would none of me. So I gave them up unto their own hearts' lust: and they walked in their own counsels. Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Yashar'el had walked in my ways! TEHILLIYM (PSALMS) 81:11-13 את CEPHER
(Psalms 106:13-15) "They soon forgot his works; they waited not for his counsel: But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted El in the desert. And he gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul." TEHILLIYM (PSALMS) 106:13-15 את CEPHER
(Proverbs 6:23-27) "For the commandment is a lamp; and the Torah is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life: To guard you from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman. Lust not after her beauty in your heart; neither let her take you with her eyelids. For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life. Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?" MISHLEI (PROVERBS) 6:23-27 את CEPHER
(Wisdom of Solomon 4:10-14) "He pleased Elohiym, and was beloved of him: so that living among sinners he was translated. Yea speedily was he taken away, lest that wickedness should alter his understanding, or deceit beguile his soul. For the bewitching of wickedness obscures things that are honest; and the wandering of lustful desire undermines the simple mind. He, being made perfect in a short time, fulfilled a long time: For his soul pleased Yahuah: therefore hasted he to take him away from among the wicked." CHOKMAH SHALOMAH (WISDOM OF SOLOMON) 4:10-14 את CEPHER
This is talking about our Messiah. It says he pleased Elohiym and living among sinners he was translated. The Hebrew word for "translated" is Strongs #8638 "Tirgam" it means to interpret or translate. It comes from the root word "Ragam" which means to be stoned. It's interesting that in Messiah's time on this earth he came and taught or interpreted the Torah correctly. Then, while he wasn't stoned he was brutally beaten, and spit on, and made to wear a crown of throws and made him to drink wine mixed with vinegar and gall. Now if we look at the word for gall as well. The Greek word is Strongs #5521 Chloe. Which means a bitter herb, usually myrrh or wormwood. Gall was used to make ink. It can also come from poppy's, hemlock, or serpents venom. If we take a look at how this word is used in the scriptures it is most often referred to as poison. Which is most likely why Messiah refused to drink it. Pharmakiea at its finest.
(Wisdom of Solomon 15:3-5) "For to know you is perfect righteousness: yea, to know your power is the root of immortality. For neither did the mischievous invention of men deceive us, nor an image spotted with diverse colors, the painter's fruitless labor; The sight whereof entices fools to lust after it, and so they desire the form of a dead image, that has no breath." CHOKMAH SHALOMAH (WISDOM OF SOLOMON) 15:3-5 את CEPHER
(Sirach 18:30-31) "Go not after your lusts, but refrain yourself from your appetites. If you give your soul the desires that please her, she will make you a laughingstock to your enemies that malign you." SIRACH (ECCLESIASTICUS) 18:30-31 את CEPHER
(Sirach 20:3-4) "How good is it, when you are reproved, to show repentance! for so shall you escape willful sin. As is the lust of a eunuch to deflower a virgin; so is he that executes judgment with violence." SIRACH (ECCLESIASTICUS) 20:3-4 את CEPHER
(Sirach 23:5) "Turn away from me vain hopes and lusting, and you shall hold him up that is desirous always to serve you." SIRACH (ECCLESIASTICUS) 23:5 את CEPHER
(Sirach 23:6) "Let not the greediness of the belly nor lust of the flesh take hold of me; and give not over me your servant into an impudent mind." SIRACH (ECCLESIASTICUS) 23:6 את CEPHER
(Susanna 1:55-57) "And Daniy'el said, Very well; you have lied against your own head; for even now the angel of Elohiym has received the sentence of Elohiym to cut you in two. So he put him aside, and commanded to bring the other, and said unto him, O seed of Kena`an, and not of Yahudah, beauty has deceived you, and lust has perverted your heart. Thus have ye dealt with the daughters of Yashar'el, and they for fear companied with you: but the daughter of Yahudah would not abide your wickedness." SHUSHANAH (SUSANNA) 1:55-57 את CEPHER
In the previous guide we talked about how the elders lusted after Susanna, so much so they were fantasizing about her. When they tried to corner her and bed her she declined. So they accused her falsely of lying with another man. Daniel hears the matter and he knows these men are dealing falsely. So he says to one of them you have lied on your own head. Now the angel of Elohiym, YaHUsHa, has received the sentence to cut you into two. Then he dismisses that one and calls the other one O seed of Kena`an, the seed of destruction, and not the seed of Yahudah, the seed of righteousness. Beauty has deceived you, and lust has perverted your heart. It has consumed you and made you obsessive. This is how you have dealt with the daughters of Israel. The daughters called by the Most High's name. And out of fear they entertained you but, the daughters of Yahudah (Judah) would not abide in your wickedness. They saw right through him.
(4 Maccabees 1:1-3) "AS I am going to demonstrate a most philosophical proposition, namely, that observant reasoning is absolute master of the passions, I would willingly advise you to give the utmost heed to philosophy.' For reason is necessary to everyone as a step to science: and more especially it embraces the praise of prudence, the highest virtue. If, then, reasoning appears to hold the mastery over the passions which stand in the way of temperance, such as gluttony and lust. MAKKABIYM REVIY`IY
(4 MACCABEES) 1:1-3 את CEPHER We talked about this in another guide as well. By reason we are able to control our passions. By reason of the Torah and its statues and commandments and ordinances.
(4 Maccabees 1:20-22) "Of the passions, pleasure and pain are the two most comprehensive; and they also by nature refer to the soul. And there are many attendant affections surrounding pleasure and pain. Before pleasure is lust; and after pleasure, joy." MAKKABIYM REVIY`IY (4 MACCABEES) 1:20-22 את CEPHER
Of all the passions us humans have the 2 most comprehensive are pleasure and pain. And if that isn't the Truth. We tend to kind of divide our lives by this. And around these 2 passions are many affections surrounded. Before pleasure is lust. And after pleasure joy. We lust for the things that give us pleasure and once we receive that pleasure we feel joy.
(4 Maccabees 1:31-32) "Now temperance consists of a command over the lusts. But of the lusts, some belong to the soul, others to the body: and over each of these classes the reasoning appears to bear sway." MAKKABIYM REVIY`IY (4 MACCABEES) 1:31-32 את CEPHER
(4 Maccabees 1:33-35) "For whence is it, otherwise, that when urged on to forbidden meats, we reject the gratification which would ensue from them? Is it not because reasoning is able to command the appetites? I believe so. Hence it is, then, that when lusting after water-animals and birds, and fourfooted beasts, and all kinds of food which are forbidden us by the Torah, we withhold ourselves through the mastery of reasoning. For the affections of our appetites are resisted by the temperate understanding, and bent back again, and all the impulses of the body are reined in by reasoning." MAKKABIYM REVIY`IY (4 MACCABEES) 1:33-35 את CEPHER
Here this is talking about the Dietary Laws. If we lust after forbidden meat. Like pork for example. We reject the gratification we get from eating that which is forbidden. Is this not because reasoning commands our appetite? The Most High tells us what is unclean. Because we love and obey him, we gaurd his reasoning. So when we lust upon the water animals, and the birds, and the 4 legged beasts and all kinds of food that the Torah forbids us from, we withhold ourselves from these things by mastery of reasoning. By being learned in the Torah! The affections of our appetites are resisted by our understanding. All the impulses are reigned in by the reasoning of the Torah of YaHUaH!
(4 Maccabees 2:1) "AND what wonder? if the lusts of the soul, after participation with what is beautiful, are frustrated, on this ground, therefore, the temperate Yoceph is praised in that by reasoning, he subdued, on reflection, the indulgence of sense." MAKKABIYM REVIY`IY (4 MACCABEES) 2:1-2 את CEPHER
This is talking about when Pharoh's wife tried to seduce Joseph. But, because Joseph and knowledge and understanding in the Torah he was able to resist her by his reasoning.
(4 Maccabees 2:5-6) "For instance, the Torah says, You shall not lust after your neighbor's woman, nor anything that belongs to your neighbor. Now, then, since it is the Torah which has forbidden us to desire, I shall much the more easily persuade you, that reasoning is able to govern our lusts, just as it does the affections which are impediments to justice." MAKKABIYM REVIY`IY (4 MACCABEES) 2:5-6 את CEPHER
The Torah says do not lust. Do not lust after your neighbor, or his woman, or anything he has. Now because the Torah has laid this out for us that is is forbidden, it is much easier to understand the concept that reasoning, knowing the Commandments, are able to govern our lusts. Just as it does the affections which are impediments to justice. Just as the Torah tells the judges to have no respect of persons, nor to take a bribe.
(4 Maccabees 5:20-23) "For transgression of the Torah, whether in small or great matters, is of equal moment; For in either case the Torah is equally slighted. But you deride our philosophy, as though we lived irrationally in it. Yet it instructs us in temperance, so that we are superior to all pleasures and lusts; and it exercises us in manliness, so that we cheerfully undergo every grievance. And it instructs us in justice, so that in all our dealings we render what is due; and it teaches us piety, so that we worship the one only Elohiym becomingly." MAKKABIYM REVIY`IY (4 MACCABEES) 5:19-23 את CEPHER
A transgression is a transgression Brothers and sisters. Whether small or great. They are all just as bad as the other and they all result in death. Let no man deceive you that one sin is more deadly than the other! They are ALL deadly! But, people deride our philosophy. They discredit it, they mock it. Like we live irrationally or something. But, it instructs us in temperance, so we can become superior to all lusts and pleasures. It exercises manliness. It teaches a man, how to truly be a man. The way YaHUaH intended our men to be. And it instructs us in justice. So in all our dealings we pay what we owe and never deal falsely or deceitfully. So that we worship the one and only Elohiym in a becoming way. Giving honor and glory to his name.
Alright next, we're diving into the Gospels. And while Messiah didn't have as much to-say as the writings did, he still tells us some really important stuff. And the Apotles make his word even clearer.
(Matthew 5:27-30) "Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, You shall not break wedlock: But I say unto you, That whosoever looks on a woman to lust after her has broken wedlock with her already in his heart. And if your right eye offend you, pluck it out, and cast it from you: for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not that your whole body should be cast into Gey Hinnom. And if your right hand offend you, cut it off, and cast it from you: for it is profitable for you that one of your members should perish, and not that your whole body should be cast into Gey Hinnom." MATTITHYAHU (MATTHEW) 5:27-30 את CEPHER
We talked about this passage when we discussed breaking wedlock. And it obviously applies here as well. Messiah tells us that whosoever even looks upon another with lust has committed adultery in their heart. And that is what matters. What is in your heart. It is better to pluck out your eye than it is to lust. And it is better to cut off your own hand than it is to allow you to sin. It is more profitable for just one of your body parts to perish, than it is to lust and allow your whole body to perish in Gey Hinnom. The valley of everlasting torment.
(Mark 4:18-19) "And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful." MARQUS (MARK) 4:18-19 את CEPHER
This is the Parable of the sower. A seed sower comes along to sow his seed. And along the way some seeds fall out. Those who were sowed on stony ground and were rooted out. Those who were sowed among thorns, the grow for a time and become unfruitful. Some seed fell along the wayside, in the ditches and was eaten up by the birds. And some seed fell upon good ground and produced good fruit. Those sown among the thorns are the wicked. Those who hear his Word and don't care. They won't turn their ways for him. They love the world more than they love him.
(James 1:13-15) "Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of Elohiym: for Elohiym cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempts he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death." YA`AQOV (JAMES) 1:13-15 את CEPHER
James really just laid it out there for us. Plain and simple, he makes it very clear. Elohiym doesn't tempt men to sin. So do not say this is YaHUaH tempting you. He will test you but, never tempt you. Every man faces temptation which is of the devil. And eventually your lust draws you away. Leads you astray. It brings forth sin. And sin, when it is finished, brings forth death. The soul that sins dies.
(James 4:1-5) "FROM whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Ye men and women who break wedlock, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with Elohiym? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of Elohiym. Do ye think that the Scripture says in vain, The Ruach that dwells in us lusts to envy?" YA`AQOV (JAMES) 4:1-5 את CEPHER
Where do wars and fighting come from among you? Pointing out here that these things come from within. From the heart. You lust for what you don't have. You murder, then desire to have things, and can't obtain them. You fight in wars and you have not because you ask not. They asked amiss. They prayed for the things they lusted after and desired. They broke wedlock. Friendship of the world is enmity with Elohiym. An enemy. The enemy of YaHUaH is being friends with the world and her customs. Do you think the Scriptures say that in vain the Ruach dwells in us and lusts and envies? Absolutely not! Those are things YaHUaH hates! His soul abhors them. The Ruach will never lead you to sin OR temptation to sin. The Ruach will.always guide you away from sin and convict you to gaurd the Commandments.
(John 8:44-45) "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the Truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the Truth, ye believe me not." YOCHANON (JOHN) 8:44-45 את CEPHER
(1 John 2:15-17) "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passes away, and the lust thereof: but he that does the will of Elohiym abides forever." YOCHANON RI'SHON (1 JOHN) 2:15-17 את CEPHER
Lastly, let's have a look inside what the Apostles said on the matter.
(1 Peter 1:13-15) "Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Yahusha Ha'Mashiach; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which has called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation." KEPHA RI'SHON (1 PETER) 1:13-15 את CEPHER
Here Peter reminds us that we are to be of a sober mind. Thinking with sober thoughts. Hope to the end that you be counted worthy, when Messiah is revealed once more. As obedient children, not following after our lusts as we did when we were ignorant of the matter. He which has called us is holy. YaHUsHa Ha'Mashiach is holy! And we are also to be holy, like him. We are to mimic him. Copycat! Whatever you want to call it. In all manner of conversation. And here again conversation doesn't just mean what you speak about. If you look at the word used for conversation here. It is Strongs Greek #391 "Anastrophé" and it means your behavior, the way you conduct yourself, and the way you live your life.
(1 Peter 2:11) "Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul." KEPHA RI'SHON (1 PETER) 2:11 את CEPHER
(1 Peter 4:1-3) "FORASMUCH then as Mashiach has suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin; That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of Elohiym. For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the other nations, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries." KEPHA RI'SHON (1 PETER) 4:1-3 את CEPHER
(2 Peter 1:3-4) "According as his divine power has given unto us all things את that pertain unto life and holiness, through the knowledge of him that has called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." KEPHA SHENIY (2 PETER) 1:3-4 את CEPHER
(2 Peter 2:9-10) "Yahuah knows how to deliver his chaciyd out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities." KEPHA SHENIY (2 PETER) 2:9-10 את CEPHER
(2 Peter 2:18) "For when they speak great swelling words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, את through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error." KEPHA SHENIY (2 PETER) 2:18 את CEPHER
(2 Peter 3:3-7) "Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the Word of Elohiym the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of wicked men." KEPHA SHENIY (2 PETER) 3:3-7 את CEPHER
Before the end of things comes the reawakening of the Remnant. Then comes those who scoff at us and mock us. Those who say where is the promise of his coming? Because they've been saying for 2000 years now Messiah will return. Be patient and wait on YaHUaH brothers and sisters. Do not say he is slow to fill his promise. They will walk after their own lusts and continue as they were from the beginning of creation. Remember as the days of Noah so will the days of the coming of the Son of Adam be. In those days they were drinking and marrying and giving in marriage. Then Noah and 7 of his family members got into the ark and the rest were all taken away. By the same word that kept the flood waters at bay for 120 years while Noah preached the Truth, that same word is keeping this world together right now. Reserved for the day of judgement and perdition on the wicked men.
(1 Timothy 6:9-10) "But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." TIMOTHEUS RI'SHON (1 TIMOTHY) 6:9-10 את CEPHER
(Titus 2:11-12) "For the grace of Elohiym that brings salvation has appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying wickedness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and holy, in this present world; TITUS (TITUS) 2:11-12 את CEPHER
(1 Thessalonians 4:4-6) "That everyone of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honor; Not in the passionate lust, even as the other nations which know not Elohiym: That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that Yahuah is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified." TASLONIQIYM RI'SHON (1 THESSALONIANS) 4:4-6 את CEPHER
(Romans 1:24-27) "Wherefore Elohiym also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the Truth of Elohiym into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amein. For this cause Elohiym gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet." ROMAIYM (ROMANS) 1:24-27 את CEPHER
Wow. If Paul didn't have a way about being straightforward and to the point. But, many also misunderstood Paul. Because Paul was a very educated man. And he often times tended to speak above people's intellect. BUT, he did this on purpose! Because those who love YaHUaH will seek understanding! YaHUaH gave up our forefathers to their lusts, and corruptions. They dishonored themselves and YaHUaH. And they changed the Truth into a lie. By holding their own traditions over the traditions of Elohiym. And teaching them to men as doctrine and commandments. Who worshipped the creature, Satan, or Ba`al, more than the Creator. YaHUaH Tseva'oth. And did Paul just call out homosexuality? He absolutely did. Even their women changed their natural use, to that which is against nature. Women going after women. And men going after men as Paul says their men did the same. Leaving the natural use of a woman. To bear children. Because a woman and a woman can't have a baby nor can a man and a man. Burning lusts one towards another. And receiving the recompense of their error.
(Romans 6:11-12) "Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto Elohiym through Yahusha Ha'Mashiach our Adonai. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof." ROMAIYM (ROMANS) 6:11-12 את CEPHER
Be dead to your sins brothers and sisters! Crucify yourself to them everyday! But, live unto YahUsHa Ha'Mashiach, our Master, our King. Do not allow sin to enter your body, that it should obey the lusts of sin. We are to walk as Messiah walked. To be holy as he is holy. Now this doesn't mean we aren't going to slip up now and again. But, the point is to repent and not do it again. To strive for righteousness. To remind yourself of the Commandments. Meditate on them day and night. You shall be as a tree planted by rivers of water.
(Romans 7:7-12) "What shall we say then? Is the Torah sin? Never. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the Torah: for I had not known lust, except the Torah had said, You shall not lust. But sin, taking occasion by the mitsvah, wrought in me all manner of lusting. For without the Torah sin was dead. For I was alive without the Torah once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. And the mitsvah, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. For sin, taking occasion by the mitsvah, deceived me, and by it slew me. Wherefore the Torah is holy, and the mitsvah holy, and just, and good." ROMAIYM (ROMANS) 7:7-12 את CEPHER
Here is an example of Paul talking over people's heads. People say Paul contradicts himself. People say Paul rejects and doesn't teach the Torah. But, both of those statements are untrue. As I stated previously Paul was just smart and spoke above most people's comprehension. So before Paul came to the Truth, he was a Pharisee. The Pharisee's had a bunch of their own commandments and traditions they taught over learning the Torah. They taught these things to their new recruits first before they learned the Torah. So Paul said is the Torah sin? Never! He hadn't know lust except for by the Torah. But here is where people start to argue that Paul is saying the Torah is bad. But he's actually talking about the doctrine of Bil'aam here. Which the Pharisee's did teach. Paul says but, sin taking occasion by the mistvah (command) wrought all manner of lusting. The doctrine of Bil'aam teaches that there's no harm in a little sin. That breaking a minor commandment was okay you'd be forgiven. But, we all know one sin leads to another sin, and another, and another. Think of it as a white lie. A white lie is a "small" lie BUT, it IS still a lie. A lie is a lie, small or great. Is it not? Without the Torah sin was dead. Because without the Torah he didn't know what sin was. He discovered what lust was by the Torah. He was living without the Torah once but, when the commandment came (that a little sin is okay) sin revived in him and he died. (His sins were beginning to consume him as they tend to do.) The mitsvah (commandment) which is the doctrine of Bil'aam here which he was taught by the Pharisee's to be ordained unto life was actually a sin and ordained unto death. He learned he was be taught falsely. It deceived him and it was killing him. The Torah is holy, and his commandments are holy, and just, and good. This doctrine also caused him to reject the commandments. Learning the Truth when you've been fed lies is hard. It's mindblowikg and it's hard to process. So at first Paul rejected it. He despised it because he hadn't known any better. But he found out it was actually the Truth and life.
(Romans 13:8-10) "Owe no man anything, but to love one another: for he that loves another has fulfilled the Torah. For this, You shall not break wedlock, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not bear false witness, You shall not lust; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. Love works no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the Torah." ROMAIYM (ROMANS) 13:8-10 את CEPHER
(Romans 13:13-14) "Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Adonai Yahusha Ha'Mashiach, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof." ROMAIYM (ROMANS) 13:13-14 את CEPHER
(Galatians 5:16-18) "This I say then, Walk in the Ruach, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Ruach, and the Ruach against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things את that ye would. But if ye be led of the Ruach, ye are not under the Law." GALATIYM (GALATIANS) 5:16-18 את CEPHER
(Galatains 5:24-26) "And they that are Yahusha Ha'Mashiach's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Ruach, let us also walk in the Ruach. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another." GALATIYM (GALATIANS) 5:24-26 את CEPHER
(2 Timothy 2:21-22) "If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, and meet for Adonai's use, and prepared unto every good work. Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, love, peace, with them that call on El-Yahuah out of a pure heart." TIMOTHEUS SHENIY (2 TIMOTHY) 2:21-22 את CEPHER
(2 Timothy 3:1-7) "THIS know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of Elohiym; Having a form of holiness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with diverse lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the Truth. TIMOTHEUS SHENIY (2 TIMOTHY) 3:1-7 את CEPHER
(2 Timothy 4:3-4) "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the Truth, and shall be turned unto fables." TIMOTHEUS SHENIY (2 TIMOTHY) 4:3-4 את CEPHER
(1 Corinthians 10:6) "Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted." QORINTIYM RI'SHON (1 CORINTHIANS) 10:6 את CEPHER
(Ephesians 2:1-3) "AND you has he quickened, who were dead in transgressions and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the ruach that now works in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others." EPH'SIYM (EPHESIANS) 2:1-3 את CEPHER
(Ephesians 4:21-24) "If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the Truth is in Yahusha: That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the ruach of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after Elohiym is created in righteousness and true holiness." EPH'SIYM (EPHESIANS) 4:21-24 את CEPHER
Remember we talked about the word for conversation in Greek. It doesn't just mean what you talk about. It means your way of life. How you live. Your behavior, how you conduct yourself. Put off that conversation which is corrupt. And allow the spirit of your mind to be renewed by YaHuSHa in whom is the Truth. And put on the new man, which after YaHUaH is created in righteousness and holiness!
(Colossians 3:5-6) "Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil lusting, and covetousness, which is idolatry: For which things' sake the wrath of Elohiym comes on the children of disobedience." QOLASIYM (COLOSSIANS) 3:5-6 את CEPHER
(Jude 1:14-16) "And Chanok also, the seventh from A'dam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, Yahuah comes with ten thousands of his qodeshiym, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are wicked among them of all their wicked deeds which they have wickedly committed, and of all their hard speeches which wicked sinners have spoken against him. These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaks great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage." YAHUDAH (JUDE) 1:14-16 את CEPHER
Here is where Jude quotes the book of Enoch, verbatim. Not a loose quote. Not a paraphrase. Verbatim. Word for word. Lines 14-15 comes from Enoch 1:9 or in the Cepher it is 2:1. These people YaHUaH excutes this judgment on is the murmurers, the complainers, walking after their own desires, and speaking great words and blasphemies. And having the admiration of men because of their advantage in life. Whether it be political, musical, monetary, whatever it is. They are admired and listened to because of their status. Let me show you the verse in Enoch that Jude quoted really quickly.
(Enoch 2:1) "BEHOLD, he comes with ten thousands of his qodeshiym, to execute judgment upon them, and destroy the wicked, and reprove all the carnal for everything which the sinful and wicked have done, and committed against him." CHANOK (ENOCH) 2:1 את CEPHER
(Jude 1:17-18) "But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Adonai Yahusha Ha'Mashiach; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own wickedly lusts." YAHUDAH (JUDE) 1:17-18 את CEPHER
(Revelation 18:14-18) "And the fruits that your soul lusted after are departed from you, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from you, and you shall find them no more at all. The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off, And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!" CHIZAYON (REVELATION) 18:14-18 את CEPHER
This is Babylon being destroyed once and for all. YaHUaH destroyed the wicked of the earth. Those who preyed on the weak. Oppressed the poor, and the orphan, and the widow. Those who are adulterous, drunken, idolatrous, lusting within their heart. They will be trodden down on account of the Elect. YaHUaH will deliver them into the righteous hand. And those who follow the beast and its image will see the city burning and say "What city is like unto this great city?" Instead of repenting and asking for forgiveness after what they just witnessed they mourn for their city that is destroyed.
This concludes Part 9 and the final portion of this guide! I truly hope this was insightful for you guys and I hope I made it understandable enough. If you have any questions please reach out to me!
